How to attach rhinestones to fabric

Nowadays, due to the charming characteristics of crystal rhinestone fabric, it has attracted more and more attention from people all over the world. It is not only often used in luxury clothing, theatrical costumes, performance wear, and sports uniforms, but also in daily life clothing, accessories, and home decoration, such as clothes with rhinestone patterns, nightclub dancing outfits, pillows, bags and so on.

There are several ways to apply rhinestones to fabric:

Hotfix On Fabric-

Using a heat-fix applicator: Preheat the applicator according to the manufacturer's instructions. Place the applicator on each rhinestone for about 5-10 seconds until the adhesive melts. The larger the size of the rhinestone, the longer the pressing time required, so that the rhinestone can be more firmly adhered to the fabric.

Using an Iron: Please set the iron to low temperature and make sure you don't use steam. Before applying hotfix, cover the rhinestone surface with a heat-resistant, non-sticky paper, such as parchment paper, to prevent damage to the rhinestone. And then Firmly press the iron onto the paper with the rhinestones on it for about 10-15 seconds. Check if the rhinestones are securely fixed. If the result is not satisfactory, repeat the heating process.

Note:

• Before preparing the rhinestones, please confirm whether there is glue at the bottom of the rhinestone. If there is no glue, you will need to prepare high-quality fabric adhesive separately.

• To ensure that the adhesive sets properly, avoid washing the items for at least 24 hours.

• Daily maintenance suggestion: hand wash or gentle cycle in the washing machine (if applicable) to protect the rhinestones.

Sew On Fabric-

For rhinestones with holes: Please simply thread the needle through the fabric and the rhinestone holes, and sew back and forth several times to ensure a secure connection.

You can also sew semi-finished products onto the fabric, such as rhinestone cup chain or plastic rhinestone trims. This will make your design more diverse and creative.

Other methods



Like using rivet with rhinestone, you only need to mark the position on the fabric, then use a punch to create a smaller hole than the size of the rivet, and then use a hammer or press to secure the rivet to the fabric.

Most fabrics can be embellished with rhinestones, such as Lycra, velvet, denim, tulle, lace, satin, lurex, etc., provided that the fabric can withstand high temperatures.
